Eleanor Toohey, Senior Associate

Eleanor has worked in class action litigation since 2017 and was admitted as a lawyer in 2020. Eleanor has extensive experience in complex commercial matters and has worked on a range of class actions across all stages of the litigation lifecycle.

Eleanor predominantly practises in securities class actions on behalf of aggrieved shareholders seeking redress from ASX listed defendants. Her focus at Echo Law is the securities claim against James Hardie Industries plc.

Eleanor has particular expertise in investigating prospective commercial claims, case theory development, large-scale discovery and trial. Eleanor is a detail-orientated litigator who builds robust claims to maximise returns for group members.

In addition to her commercial experience, Eleanor has worked on tort claims, pro bono matters and has written pieces for legal journals.
